howdy!

Everything we do here at Nelson Pastures is all about you! We are honored to be able to raise food for you and your family. We know that food is medicine and we want only the best for you. That is our guiding philosophy that came about in 2021 when Brigham Nelson went to serve a volunteer church mission over in Africa. Around this same time, members of his family were diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases and food sensitivities. This led them down the wellness rabbit hole, which ultimately led to the conclusion that a lot of disease is caused by nutrient-deficient foods and toxicity. Back in Africa, Brigham was eating locally and regeneratively grown foods. When talking to his family back home he realized that food really is medicine.

We are not reinventing the wheel. Nothing that we do is unique or proprietary. What we are doing is trying to take a look at the whole picture. When we plan our farming practices we look at soil health, biodiversity, animal well-fare, and numerous other variables. This leads us to adopt practices such as no-till, cover cropping, rotational stock grazing, and not using antibiotics or vaccines. We hope you will enjoy our farm products as much as we enjoy producing them for you!
